Bringing Color Back

Summer has been teasing Minnesota for about 2 weeks now and one of the things I enjoy the most is all the new pieces that I get to add to my wardrobe. I am learning to experiment with trends but also finding a twist to them to keep my comfy chic style.

One of the things I’ve been eager to add more to my wardrobe is color. I fell into this neutral color craze back in the fall. Don’t get me wrong, I think neutrals (specially blush) are a fool-proof wardrobe but with summer upon us a pop of color here and there feels appropriate.

I have never been a huge fan of colorful pieces because; honestly, I am not a fan of doing laundry. I do it because I have to but to keep my clothes from fading or stretching but soft, well it does take a couple of products but now that I found Tide® PODS™ + Downy® it’s a problem of the past. These small but powerful packets have 4 ingredients; laundry detergent, stain remover, color protector and Downy® protect technology so that makes my life 20 time easier and simpler-- and you guys know that I am all about making my life as simple as possible.

I am not going to lie, I do miss Miami (a tiny little bit) and these colorful pieces do help me keep that Miamian in me well and alive in this sea of Minnesotans.

While my husband and I don’t have kids yet nor we have pets (although lately the dog conversation has been pretty constant) it is very important to keep the Tide® PODS™ + Downy® in a safe, high place to avoid them getting into it. So please remember to keep them up, keep them closed and keep them safe!

 

Maybe it’s just me but my clothing does reflect directly how I am feeling and sometimes when I am feeling down, all I need is a pop of color; whether is on my lips or on a piece of clothing to make me feel a bit better and get me out of the funk. I am not the kind of person to over-do color but we can all agree that some color here and there is always a good idea!
