I know I have been MIA from the blog, how crazy is it that it has been almost 3 months since my last post! I feel so guilty, but I promise I will try to keep up more often.
So why have I been away for so long? Well, as you may remember I told you guys I got a new job at Target. Well the first months were a bit easier so I had time for the blog and my YouTube channel. But it seems since the beginning of January my job just took over my life. I’m not going to lie, I am struggling to find a middle happy ground where I have the job of my dreams and keep doing the blog which is what I love to do. Still working at it.
At the beginning of January I had to travel to New York for a shoot of my very first Target project. SO FUN! With small hiccups like almost breaking my foot while bowling before the trip and getting my purse stolen at a sketchy bar in East Williamsburg, but fun nonetheless! After that I got pulled into 2 (seems like 3 now) more projects, oh gosh!
Add to the mix that my hubby - FINALLY- made the decision to move to Minneapolis with me! That’s right, no more long distance for us! So I decided to fly to Miami to help him sort out, getting rid of and packing his stuff. As I was planning that trip, I got hit with some news that I had been invited to be a judge for the Addys in the Miami chapter (a local advertising award show) so that meant I was coming home for 4 days to then go back to Miami for the weekend.
So after all that craziness, I am super excited to partner up with Dove to share with you some tips of how to stay put together as life puts you to the test.
- Stay calm: sounds like a cliche but it’s true. When I got my purse stolen in New York while I was traveling back home the next day, I almost lost it, until I realized there was nothing I could do.
- Travel with basics: honestly while being so stressed out and on the go, I have to have my Dove Advanced Care Antiperspirant at all times, even in my purse! Not only it offers 48 hours of odor and wetness protection, I love how soft and smooth it leaves my underarms thanks to the NutriumMoisture formula.
- Organize and plan: My husband always says that I am a planning freak, but when I get so much in my plate my brain freezes and I don’t know where to start. But I have realized that one step at the time is the best way to tackle problems.
- Pack what you need: I am guilty of over packing, every time! But I have learned that if I plan (see why I said planning was a good tip) ahead my outfits, my life and my suitcase will get lighter.
- Enjoy the ride: as many crazy things that life may throw at you, go with the flow. Enjoy every moment and the little things that it brings. I decided to focus on the positive side of every experience rather than dwelling on how exhausting it is.
Life doesn’t always goes as we plan it and let’s be honest traveling is a lot of work. But that doesn’t mean you cannot kick back and enjoy it!
