Memorial Day is almost here and that means that summer is around the corner! While the beginning of Spring does take my breath away, I have to say Summer is my all-time favorite season. The impromptu BBQs and tanning seshs, pool parties and summer cocktails is what I live for!
I will be staying in Minneapolis because we just came back from Miami but we are celebrating my hubby’s and my birthday! Yes, we have almost the same birthday (his is 21st and mine 22nd) and we are meeting some friends at my favorite brewery here in the Twin Cities.
Which is one of the things that I absolutely love about this city that they REALLY embrace every single second of good weather. Even last week my boss sent us an email on Friday telling us to get out early and enjoy the weather because the weekend was going to be pretty yucky! That has never happened to me an any job! How crazy is it? I’m all about it though.
Having so much time outside also means that we have to start thinking about our skin and the extra love that we can give to it. As you all know I have been using the Olay Sun Face Sunscreen + Shine Control with SPF 35 even when I went to Miami I kept it inside my purse taking it wherever we would go. It is super light and specially for those hot, steamy summer days this is an absolute must to take care of my skin. As I say hello to 33 years old, sun can really cause serious damage but I have to be careful with the products I use specially when it comes to sun care. I used to be that girl in my twenties that barely washed her face, that never used sunscreen, that used expired make up because that is what I had inside my makeup bag.
While I wish I knew better, I was focused on having fun, school, and just life. As I grew older I am in the process of understanding the power of a good skin care routine, but I also learned to understand what type of complexion I have and what type of products work and don’t work. And trust me this happened only a year ago when I was having a facial done!
So yeah, my skin journey has taken me a really long time and while I wish I could change a lot of things about it, I think I am in a good place and I love that I have products like Olay and the Olay Sun Face Sunscreen + Shine Control with SPF 35 to help guide me along the way!
