Hello world!
Welcome to my blog and my first post. My name is Claudia Camargo and I currently live in Austin, TX. My fiancé and I have been on a long distance relationship for about 2 yrs and 8 mo and we have been engaged for 1 yr and almost 3 mo, God I cannot believe it's been this long! It has been tough - actually very tough, but it has been worth it, fights and all. He lives in Miami and I live in Austin (as I mentioned before), but I will tell you more about our 12 year relationship in another post.
I want to open up my story because I am sure a lot of you are going thru a similar situation or maybe you have had on the past and we can all share tips and tricks to make this... well, a bit "easier". Don't be fooled by the name of my blog, although this crazy experience has brought many smiles, it has also been difficult and it hasn't been easy.
In here you are going to find not only relationship advise (and please by no means think that I am an expert) but also reviews on long distance relationship apps, airlines, airports and also a bit on traveling style and tips. I have been traveling every month so after a lot of miles stacked up and a couple thousand dollars in airplane tickets later I consider myself an expert! (ha!)

Bienvenidos a mi blog y mi primer post. Mi nombre es
Claudia Camargo y vivo en Austin, TX. Mi prometido y yo hemos estado en un relación
de larga distancia por 2 años y 8 meses y hemos estado comprometidos por 1 año
y 3 meses, no puedo creer que haya pasado tanto tiempo! Ha sido MUY difícil
pero los momentos lindos y lo mucho que hemos aprendido hacen que valga la
pena. El vive en Miami y yo en Austin como ya les dije, pero les daré mas
detalles de nuestra relación de 12 años en otro post.
Quiero abrir mi historia porque estoy segura que hay
muchísima gente que esta pasando por lo mismo o que talvez ya paso por esto.
Talvez entre todos podemos hacer esto un poco mas "fácil". Aunque el
nombre de mi blog dice "smiles" no piensen que todo ha sido sonrisas,
hemos tenido que trabajar muy fuertemente para llegar a donde estamos hoy en día.
En este blog van a encontrar no solo consejos para
parejas (y por favor no piensen que soy experta!) también van a encontrar
reviews en aplicaciones hechas para relaciones de larga distancia, aeropuertos, aerolíneas
y un poco de fashion a la hora de viajar. He estado volando cada mes, así que después
de muuuchas millas y un par de miles de dólares después en pasajes creo que ya
me puedo considerar una experta! (Ja!)
