Oh the cold weather is definitely here in Minnesota! A
little too early than what I would have liked but I guess it is time to embrace
it and get ready for it. My skin is one of the first things that I try to think
about since the earlier that I start taking care of it, the better it will look
during the harsher months.
This will be my third Minnesota winter and I have learned so
much about skincare the last two winters, so here are my 3 go-to’s to get my
skin ready
1 Using the very best face moisturizer (without
breaking the bank!)
Finding the right one can be challenging and it does take a lot of trial and error to find THE ONE. I have been loving the Olay Regenerist Whip fragrance-free especially now that we already got some flurries up north. It feels super light but with all the yummy feeling of your skin being nourished. And now it’s even better with their new fragrance-free formula! Oh and a nice add-on is that they have the Total Effect Whip SPF25 fragrance-free so you have a two-in-one product! Fun fact: Did you know that just one dose of Olay Whips contains the same amount of Vitamin B3 as 50 cups of kale – one of the most popular superfoods?!

1 Drink ALL THE WATER!
I used to be one of those people that hated drinking water. I found no point to it. How was my skin you may ask? My acne was out of control, dull and just overall not good. I actually started to get in the habit of drinking it when I lived in Texas. Maybe because it was also pretty extreme weather (during summer) but I am glad I did it. My skin instantly started changing, clearing out, the glow started to come in and look plumper. It is no different for winter; we are most of the times inside and while the heating system may feel good and cozy, it does take a toll on our skin. So we have to keep hydrated!

2 Get a humidifier.
This is brand new to me, and I bought one recently because my nose started to hurt from it being so dry. I never thought I would need one since well, my water intake got so much better, but it definitely gives it a little umpf to help your skin stay healthy.

Midwest winter, make sure you prep yours sooner than later!
