Look who made it to the blog! Everyone let me introduce to
you to my mom and sister! The finally came to visit me during Thanksgiving and
I could not have been happier. While I was a little sad that my hubby was
traveling, it made me happy to spend some time with my family.
So, let me tell you a bit about them; my sister lives in
Baltimore and she is a little bad ass. Her favorite drink is the Moscow Mule
and weird fact; she loves fried fish eyes… don’t ask why. My mom lives in
Frederick, MD and she is an amazing woman that really has been my back bone
through the years, she is more of a sweet and classic type of drink like a
Cosmo.
I left home when I was 18 and bolted out of Maryland and
moved to Miami for school. I was pretty tired of the snow and I wanted summer
all year long. While I think I left home pretty early I am glad I did it but I
also missed a lot of my siblings growing up and my parents growing older.
Moments like this past Thanksgiving really bring me so much
joy because the 5 of us were able to spend some time and re-live many memories.
I partnered up with Joia to host a little cocktail hour with mom and sissy and
catch up on some girl talk!
I tried to enjoy every second because my sister is getting
bigger and my mom is getting older and I really don’t get to hang out with them
now that we are all grown up. Nothing that a nice cold can of the yummy Joiacanned cocktail couldn’t fix, because I cannot make a mixed drink for the life
of me, I love how easy they make it to have pre-made cocktails, you can drink
it straight for the can or get fancy with some ice and nice glasses.
