Top 3 Summer Adventures in Minneapolis

One of my favorite things about living in Minneapolis is that the amount of summer activities and places to discover is infinite. You can literally pick up and drive in search of an outdoor adventure and you will find a cute little spot 15 mins out.

Here are 3 summer activities that are a must if you live in the Twin Cities area: 

Picnics galore! -

We decided to take a half day off on Friday and drive off to a nature center about 20 mins north of downtown called Springbrook Nature Center. I am a sucker for details, so I packed our picnic bag with lots of goodies, including some of the yummiest flavors from popchips, fresh fruit and some sparkling water to stay hydrated.

Hammocking, yes that’s a thing! -

Before moving to Minneapolis I’ve never heard of this activity, I didn't even know that was a word. But basically, the idea is that you pick a spot at a park, bring your own hammock and a good book and some snacks and just chill as you swing the afternoon away!

Boats and water fun -

Yes, I know this is not that surprising but what I love is that since this is the land of 10,000 lakes the options and variety of water bodies are so vast! No two lakes are similar giving you a while different experience so don’t forget to grab somesnacks, tasty beverages and sunscreen to get ready for a day in the water!

Whatever you decide to do snacks are a big part of a fun day out to keep the fun going. My absolute favorite ones are popchips!
