Oh hey 2019! We welcomed the new year with a beautiful snowy night. And it was the perfect way to end it! We live in Minnesota as you all know and by now (I think) we are used to the cold. But I must say this year it has been pretty amazing, but also global warming 😭
Since it started snowing in the early afternoon hours we decided to take a small trip to Stillwater, MN for lunch. We put on our Kamik boots, which by the way are just amazing!
The company is from Canada so, they know a thing or two about the cold, eh? I got the this boots in black because while I do want to stay warm while playing in the snow, I mean I do like to look pretty fashionable and not like I'm Yeti 🤷🏼♀️ My hubby got this other boots, and trust me he has STRUGGLED finding the right pair if boots for almost the entire two year we have been here in the Twin Cities. But he finally found the perfect part that he can wear indoors and outdoors and that he can dress down or sort-of-up.
To be honest 2018 was a year of a lot of self-discovery, keep discovering our marriage and while it had many ups and downs I think we ended the year on a very high note. Overall last year brought us a lot of lessons that also came hand-in-had with new opportunities. I am a firm believer that every low in life has a positive side but you need to learn how to look for it, it is not easy in any way shape or form but if you do find it it is a magical moment. Going out for a little road-trip for lunch would have never been on our agenda before, but I really believe that all the struggles we had as a married couple this year lead us to enjoying the smallest moments like the most precious ones.
Im glad we spent the last day of the year like this and started the new one next to our friends who became our family in Minnesota and LET'S KICK ASS IN 2019!
